ദിവ്യ എസ് മേനോൻ, കേരളത്തിന്റെ സാംസ്ക്കാരിക തലസ്ഥാനമായ തൃശൂരാണു സ്വദേശം, പക്ഷേ ഇപ്പോ ചീനവലകളുടെ നാടായ കൊച്ചിയിൽ താമസം. ബികോം ബിരുദത്തിനുശേഷം ഫാഷൻ ഡിസൈനിംഗിൽ പി ജി ഡിപ്ലോമ എടുത്തു. സംഗീതത്തിൽ മാത്രമല്ല പെയിന്റിംഗിലും വസ്ത്രാലങ്കാരത്തിലും ഒരു പോലെ താത്പര്യം. എന്നിരിക്കിലും സംഗീതം അത് കർണ്ണാടിക്കോ, ഹിന്ദുസ്ഥാനിയോ മെലഡിയായ സിനിമാ സംഗീതമോ ഒക്കെയായായും അതിനോടൊക്കെ ദിവ്യയ്ക്ക് താലപ്പര്യം തന്നെ. കഴിഞ്ഞ ഏഴുവർഷമായി കർണ്ണാടകസംഗീതവും ഒരു വർഷമായി ഹിന്ദുസ്ഥാനി സംഗീതവും അഭ്യസിക്കുന്നു. കൈരളി ടിവിയുടെ വി-ചാനലിൽ ഗാനമേള എന്നൊരു പരിപാടി കഴിഞ്ഞ 2 വർഷമായി അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.. സുപ്രസിദ്ധ പിന്നണിഗായകൻ വിനീത് ശ്രീനിവാസൻ പുറത്തിറക്കിയ കോഫി@ എം ജി റോഡെന്ന ആൽബത്തിൽ അദ്ദേഹത്തോടൊപ്പം പാടാനുള്ള അവസരവും ലഭിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഈ പട്ടണത്തിൽ ഭൂതം,ഇമാനുവേൽ,സലാലാ മൊബൈൽസ്,ഗോഡ്സ് ഓണ്‍ കണ്ട്രി,തട്ടത്തിൻ മറയത്ത്, ബാംഗ്ലൂർ ഡെയ്സ് എന്നീ സിനിമകളിൽ പിന്നണി പാടിയിട്ടുണ്ട് .
Divya S Menon, basically from Trissur but currently settled at Cochin. Divya's family includes her father ( C.S.Kurup, Mechanical Engineer, Working as Surveyor with CEIL @ Kochi ), mother ( Meena Soman, Housewife ), brother ( Anoop S Menon, Mechanical Engineer, Working in IT sector @ Singapore and Divya's husband Reghu Mohan, is a Business Consultant @ EY, Cochin.
She did most of her schooling in different parts of India as her dad had a transferable job, which in turn helped her to learn different languages. She was formally trained in dancing during her childhood but at the 6th grade her parents realised her ability to sing and they started a formal training in Carnatic music under Srimathi Shakunthala Sheshadri in Chennai. Then after shifting to their hometown Divay was under the training of Sunil sir, shishya of Sri Mangaadu Nateshan and later under Sri Mangaadu Nateshan himself. Also got an opportunity to learn Hindustani classical under the guidance of Sri Dinesh Devdas for about an year. Then got shifted to Cochin for further studies. In Cochin got an opportunity to get trained under Ustad Fiyas Khan for a short period of 6 months. Even though Divya underwent a training for 7-8 years, had lots of cuts and breaks due to her studies and constant geographical movement.
Divya's schooling in CBSE syllabus, graduation in B.Com from Sree Kerala Varma college , and a post graduation in Fashion Designing from St. Teresa's college Cochin.Other than music she has a great passion for painting, drawing and jewellery making.
Divya had also worked with Kairali TV for 6 years starting from 2007 for some of the music shows Ganamela, Sing 'N' Win, Raindrops and Myna. Her carreer in playback singing started in 2009 with Vineeth's solo album Coffee @ M.G.Road.
Divya has also sung in some malayalam movies 'adipoli bhootham' song from Ee pattanathil bhootham, "anuragam" from Thattathn Marayath, "ennod koodi" from the film Immanuvel, 'rasoolalla' from Salala Mobiles, 'mannil pathivum' from Gods own country and one of the 2014 hits from bangalore days 'mangalyam thanthunanena'. Diva has also associated in movies like Traffic, 1983, London Bridge, Malarvadi Arts Club and Ringmaster for re- recording and trailers
