ആലപ്പുഴ ജില്ലയിലെ ചെറിയനാടാണ് സ്വദേശം. വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം നാട്ടിലും മഹാരാഷ്ട്രയിലുമായിരുന്നു. ഡൽഹി, ഒമാൻ, മണിപ്പാൽ യുണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ ജോലി ചെയ്തു.
മൂന്നാം ക്ലാസ്സ് മുതലേ വിവിധ സംഗീത മത്സരങ്ങളിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. പള്ളിയിലെ ഖ്വയർ അംഗമായിരുന്നു. ആകാശവാണിയിലെ യുവവാണിയിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. വിവിധ മത്സരങ്ങളിൽ സമ്മാനങ്ങൾ നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. വരദാനമായിക്കിട്ടിയ സംഗീതത്തെ ആവുംവിധം കൂടെനിർത്തി പോഷിപ്പിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോരുന്നതിനുള്ള ശ്രമം എക്കാലത്തും നടത്തിയിരുന്നു. UAEയിൽ ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഡോ.ധീരജാണ് ഭർത്താവ്. മീവെൽ മകളാണ്.
I am Jaya Dhiraj, from Cheriyanadu village of Alappuzha (dist). Did my schooling from s.v.g.h.s Cheriyanad, pre degree from s.n college Chengannur and b.sc nursing from Maharashtra. Worked in New Delhi, Sultanate of Oman, and at Manipal University as a lecturer.
Started singing from 3rd standard, participated in school dist.level singing competitions, choir leader in church, sang in all india radio(yuvavani) in the year 1993 and 1994. Participated in orthodox church dist&state level singing competitions and won prizes. Nurtured my hobby by actively participating in orchestras at Delhi, Maharashtra and now in Kuwait.
Also love writing (memoir, sensational issue related articles and poems), anchoring & cooking.
Married to Dr.Dhiraj, who is working in UAE & blessed with a daughter, Meevell.
